His career began with signing his first contract for movie sound design and securing a sync placement—significant milestones that marked his official entry into the professional music world.
Your latest single "COLORS (LETTING GO)" feels deeply emotional — what moment or realization in your life inspired this song, and what does “letting go” personally mean to you?
First and foremost thank you all for this opportunity. Letting go is deeply rooted in the term repentance which is at the core is a change of mind. Typically that shift is from something negative to some positive. Really the song marks a change in my life where I’m leaving behind all the people I’ve lost, the trauma I’ve felt, and the pain that comes with it all.
Looking back at your previous releases, how do you feel your artistic identity has evolved — sonically, visually, or spiritually?
Sonically it changes based on how I feel and the moment I’m living in. Visually it’s an ever present image of my current environment. So spiritually my artistic identity is just a palate that GOD uses to share certain messages to people in the same moment or environment. Some people will observe the art and its beauty, some won’t.
Your music often carries a dreamy, introspective atmosphere. How much of that comes from your own inner world, and how much from the environment or people around you?
I’m constantly living the dream haha. Through prayer and meditation I’ve become pretty disciplined in taking the inner dreamscape and making it my actuality. It brings me a lot of freedom and the music essentially is inviting others to experience that day dream and the peace that comes with it.
When you create a new track, what usually hits you first — a feeling, a visual concept, a melody, or a lyric? Walk us through how a song of yours typically comes to life.
Typically it starts with acoustic guitar and a freestyle. After other instruments get incorporated. I’m just open to the concept whether it be electronic or folk. I try to stay a blank slate so I can be as in the moment as possible. All the music then is allowed to come from a place of creative authenticity.
If someone were to listen to your music for the very first time, what kind of emotional experience or message would you hope they walk away with?
I’d say I’d want them to walk away with the feeling of peace. Too much distraction and negativity exist in the world. Causing obfuscation to most consumers. I pray that when someone listens to my music it brings them clarity of mind, a release of stress and anxiety, and an influx of peace and love from GOD.
