BLOND:ISH announces new album "Never Walk Alone"
Nine years after her debut, BLOND:ISH, the music project of Vivie-ann Bakos, is set to release her new album, "Never Walk Alone", due out in February 2025 via Insomniac Records. The Canadian artist has undergone a journey full of personal and professional transformations: a marriage proposal, a pregnancy, and a collaboration with the lifestyle brand Pompei, as well as her activism in the environmental field, which led her to create the most sustainable vinyl in the world.
The first single from the album, "Can’t Let You Go", features Bantu, a singer and producer from Zimbabwe. The track, blending afro-house sounds, delivers a message of personal empowerment, aligning with the album's central themes: solitude, mental health, and the strength to move forward without constantly comparing oneself to others. Other tracks, such as the title track "Never Walk Alone" and "Different Way", continue this narrative, encouraging listeners to reflect on their own paths.
BLOND:ISH has also created a limited-edition vinyl that uniquely involves her fans. Those interested can send in photos with their loved ones, which will be compiled into a mosaic appearing on the album's cover, creating a special bond between the artist and her audience.
With "Never Walk Alone", BLOND:ISH not only returns to the music scene but also reaffirms her commitment to a more aware and positive world, offering music that goes beyond just the sonic experience.
