Chase & Status announce "Generic Everything" and share new single "Gone Too Far"

The drum & bass duo return with a genre-spanning album featuring Little Simz, Skrillex, J Hus, Giggs and more.
Chase & Status have announced their new album "Generic Everything", due out in October, and shared a new single with Debbie, "Gone Too Far".
Built around the British-Nigerian singer’s soulful vocals, the track blends drum & bass with a more melodic edge. It follows "Disgruntled", their recent collaboration with J Hus and IRAH.
The album features an impressive list of guests, including Little Simz, Skrillex, Giggs, D Double E, Blanco, Col3trane, Saam Sultan, Finessekid and Ledbyher. Across the record, Chase & Status move between D&B, rap, grime, dubstep, rave, soundsystem music and rock, with Saul Milton also playing guitar on several tracks.
The duo say the album takes aim at the pressure for artists to make music that fits the same familiar patterns, particularly in a world shaped by algorithms and AI. Their visual concept for the record centres around a cube, representing ideas being forced into the same shape.
The album follows a huge period for Chase & Status. In recent months they have played major festival stages including Silverstone and Tomorrowland, while also appearing alongside Skrillex at Boomtown. They have also been developing SECTION 63, their new audiovisual live project.
It comes after the pair scored their first UK No. 1 single with "BACKBONE", their 2024 collaboration with Stormzy.
Chase & Status will also feature in the upcoming James Bond game "007: First Light", where they appear as a virtual DJ act.
"Generic Everything" is set for release on 9th October 2026.
