Dirtwire reimagine Monolink’s "Mesmerized"

The American duo reshape the track into a stripped, atmospheric piece for Embassy One’s "The Beauty Of It All" remix series.
Dirtwire return with a new take on "Mesmerized" originally by Monolink, as part of the ongoing remix series from Embassy One. Following earlier reinterpretations by Maxi Meraki, Yamagucci and Curol, this new version shifts the focus away from club functionality.
Instead of pushing rhythm forward, Dirtwire pull the track inward. "Mesmerized" is reduced to its core elements and rebuilt with slow-moving layers of organic sound. The result avoids any sense of drop or peak, staying intentionally restrained from start to finish.
Known for combining global instrumentation with electronic production, Dirtwire work here with kamale ngoni, jaw harps, bowed strings and other acoustic textures. These elements sit close to the surface, shaping a sound that feels handmade rather than programmed.
Their version of "Mesmerized" doesn’t follow standard remix logic. It moves with little urgency, leaning into space and texture rather than momentum. Within "The Beauty Of It All" remix series, it stands apart as the least dance-oriented cut so far, closer to sound design than club track.
