The Argentine artist brings together indie dance, tech house and melodic electronics on a debut shaped by years of live performance and musical experimentation.

Juan Hansen has never been interested in staying inside one genre. Raised on acoustic instruments and Argentina's indie and rock scenes before moving into electronic music, the Buenos Aires artist has built a distinctive sound where organic textures, vocals and live instrumentation meet club-driven production.

Now, following his breakthrough Boiler Room appearance in 2019 and performances everywhere from Cosquín Rock and Ultra to Watergate, Burning Man and Grand Factory, Hansen presents "Ultrasonido" — a twelve-track debut released on his newly founded label, Ultrasonido Records.

The album moves between hypnotic indie dance, tech house, melodic grooves and more intimate songwriting moments. At its core is the phrase "Sentíme este gru", roughly meaning "feel this groove with me" — a distinctly Buenos Aires invitation to stop thinking and start moving.

Tracks such as "Ninjas" (ft. Clér Letiv) pay tribute to Argentina's deeply connected dancefloors, while "Inside My Mind" with Franco BA and Miko Franconi brings a more uplifting, song-driven side. "Gambeta", made with Brigado Crew, leans into dembow-inflected tech house, while "Neon Maze" delivers one of the album's most direct late-night club moments.

The final pieces complete the spectrum: "Love Also Bites" (ft. Marley Waters) brings an emotional breakbeat finish, while "Sentir Asi" (Part II) pushes back towards the dancefloor with a powerful blend of indie dance and tech house.

More than a debut album, "Ultrasonido" is a snapshot of Hansen's musical identity — songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and electronic artist in one. It's a record built around a simple idea: music should be felt before it is understood.
