"The Moon (Sommernacht Remix)" transforms your most streamed track into a late-night house anthem. What made you want to revisit this song and give it a completely new energy?

Honestly, people have always messaged me privately about this song, saying it hit them somewhere they couldn't quite explain. That always moved me and stayed with me. And then this summer just felt right for it. It's always been a late night, unanswered kind of song, so putting it somewhere with that energy just made sense.

You describe the remix as capturing the feeling of holidays: beautiful, temporary and full of emotion. How did you translate that sense of nostalgia and freedom into the production and atmosphere of the track?

There's something about the sea, isn't there? Summer gives you all these perfect little moments, but the sea has this stillness that pulls you right back into your own head. You could be watching it in daylight or moonlight and either way you're surrounded by beauty and somehow still end up reflecting. That's exactly the space this remix lives in. Sonically, the beat carries that same origin. Visually, the sea and light elements translated straight into the artwork. And the original was actually written in the Balearics, so it felt right to bring it back there sonically too.

Your music combines moody vocals with atmospheric house influences. How do you approach balancing emotional depth with the energy needed for a dancefloor track?

My voice had to stay the one constant thing, surrounded by production that lifted it into another pace and trajectory. And honestly, I don't think euphoria and heartache are opposites at all. Sometimes the best dancing happens when you're carrying something heavy. I think we're all a bit guilty of pushing our feelings down, and music's one of the only places you don't have to.

You have built your audience independently across the UK, US and Europe without label support. What have been the biggest lessons from creating your own path as an independent artist?

You answer to the song first, not anyone else's idea of what's commercial. That's freeing, but it's also terrifying, because every call is yours. What keeps me going is knowing people in places I've never even travelled to have found this music completely on their own. That says more than any music strategy ever could.

From your Liverpool roots to your current base in London, how have the places you’ve lived shaped your sound, your songwriting and the stories you want to tell through music?

Liverpool gave me this musical foundation before I even knew what it was doing to me. From the city's influence, there's still that soulful, nostalgic thread in everything I make. London's where I built it all up properly, on my own terms. I reckon you can hear both places in the music if you listen closely enough.
