Set for worldwide release in August 2025, "Catching Smiles" is the latest album from Lokman — a musical odyssey that fuses ancient roots with futuristic vision. Born in Mardin, Turkey, and shaped by a nomadic path through Cambodia, Thailand, the UK, Tulum, and New York, Lokman is a Mesopotamian sound alchemist who turns stories of exile, joy, and healing into deeply moving music.
His signature Blues techno style — a raw blend of blues, hypnotic techno, and global rhythms — is more than sound; it’s feeling. Created in the wake of his 2023 benefit EP "Mesopotamian Kids NYC 23", "Catching Smiles" is a soulful manifesto for connection in a fractured world.
A fixture at Burning Man, Tulum’s jungle stages, and Istanbul’s underground, Lokman’s sets are more ceremony than performance — weaving flamenco, tribal chants, and deep bass into transformative rituals.
With the support of AVVA, a NYC-based collective uplifting Turkish and Middle Eastern voices, Lokman continues to dissolve boundaries. "Catching Smiles" is a celebration of resilience, rhythm, and shared humanity.
