Migrant is a rising electronic music producer and DJ from India, blending the warmth of organic instruments with hypnotic techno and tech house beats. "Anahata" takes its name from the heart chakra and seems to explore the boundary between physical movement and emotional introspection. How do you translate such deep spiritual concepts into a musical language that’s both accessible and engaging for listeners?

Anahata came from a quiet, inner space — the vibration of the heart itself. I wanted to create something that could make people feel peace and energy at the same time. I translate spiritual concepts through texture and tone, not words. The idea is to let people experience something sacred without realizing it — through sound, movement, and emotion blending together.

Your style blends organic instruments with techno and house pulses. Can you walk us through how a track like Anahata comes to life? Do you start with a melody, a rhythm, or an emotional idea?

It always begins with emotion — a feeling or a moment I want to relive. Sometimes it’s the sound of a sitar, sometimes a drone that feels alive. I build around that until rhythm finds its place naturally. Once the core emotion is captured, I sculpt everything else around it — that’s when a track really becomes a story.

Your career began during your travels as a hotelier. How much do the places you’ve visited and the experiences you’ve had influence your sound and the choice of sonic textures in your tracks?

Every journey left a sound inside me — from desert winds in Rajasthan to ocean waves in Sicily. As a hotelier, I learned to observe moods and spaces deeply, and that sensitivity reflects in my music. The world shaped my ear; it taught me that emotion has a frequency, just like sound.

You’ve said that playing your records is the most intimate thing you can share. How do you create that personal, almost meditative experience during your live sets, especially in bigger festival or club environments?

Even in a large crowd, I focus on creating presence. I use long blends, organic layers, and subtle transitions to build a shared emotional space. It’s not about dropping tracks — it’s about guiding energy. When everyone starts moving in one rhythm, not from hype but connection, that’s when it feels intimate.

After Anahata and your growing international success, what creative directions do you feel excited to explore in the coming years? Can we expect collaborations, new genres, or conceptual projects?

I’m drawn to experiences that go beyond sound — where visuals, scents, and energy become part of the story. Collaborations will happen, but only where there’s shared emotion. I see my next phase as something immersive — blending the spiritual and the modern, where people don’t just hear the music, they feel it.
