Siim Griffel

Siim Griffel is an Estonian DJ and producer based in Finland, emerging as one of the most promising artists in the melodic house and techno scene. His music blends deep emotion with driving rhythms, creating unique atmospheres where every beat tells a story. For Siim, music is more than just sound—it's a language of feeling, a way to translate emotion into pure energy on the dance floor. With a growing catalog of releases consistently reaching Top 100 charts, and successful collaborations like the one with Einmusik, Siim Griffel is carving out his place in the electronic music world with passion and au-thenticity, one track at a time.

Your music is known for blending deep emotions with powerful rhythms. How do you balance these two elements in your creative process?

For me, balancing emotion and rhythm feels very natural because both have been a part of me since / was young. When / was a little boy, I always dreamed of being a drummer in a band, so that instinct for strong, driving rhythms has been with me from the start. At the same time, I've always been an emotional guy, so l naturally gravitate toward deep, meaningful melodies that really take you somewhere. When I create, those two sides just come together-powerful rhythms that keep you moving and melodies that make you feel. That combination is where I feel most at home artistically.

Your collaboration with Einmusik, "Remember Me", quickly achieved great success. How did this collaboration come about, and what did it teach you arti. stically?

The collaboration was honestly a dream come true because I've been a fan of Einmusik and his label, Einmu: sika Recordings, for a long time. I sent a bunch of demos to the label, and they got back to me really qui-ckly, saying they were interested in releasing almost all of them, which already felt like a huge achievement for me. Einmusik connected with one track in particular, so I sent him the stems, and he added his own magic to it.

That's how 'Remember Me' was born, and seeing it become so successful has been incredible. Artistically, it taught me a lot about collaboration and what it's like to work with someone operating at that level. Shoutout to Einmusik-he's a very humble, down-to-earth guy who genuinely likes to support newcomers. We definitely need more artists like that in the scene.

Being Estonian but based in Finland, how do the different cultures and environments you live in influence your sound and musical vision?

Both Estonia and Finland feel like home to me. No matter where / am, feel grateful to be connected to both cultures. To be honest, they're actually quite similar in terms of environment and mindset, which makes moving between them feel very natural. One thing I really carry with me from the Estonian side is the work ethic. Estonians are incredibly hard-working, and that mentality has helped me a lot in my artistic career, where dedication, long hours, and persistence are essential if you want to reach the top. So even though the cultural differences aren't huge, the combination of these two environments gives me stability, focus, and the drive to keep pushing my sound and musical vision forward.

The melodic house and techno scene is constantly evolving. How do you maintain your original artistic identity while adapting to changes within the genre?

I love experimenting and trying new things-that's a big part of what keeps me inspired and pushes my sound forward. At the same time, I'm always conscious of preserving the core elements that make my music me. So even when i explore new ideas, techniques, or trends, I try to shape them in a way that still carries my own signature. The scene is constantly evolving, and I actually enjoy that. It keeps things fresh and opens new creative doors. For me, the key is to grow with the genre without losing the essence of my own sound and iden-tity.

Looking ahead, what evolutions or experiments would you like to explore within melodic house and techno? Do you have any upcoming projects or dreams you're working on?

I'm really excited to keep experimenting with new ideas in melodic house and techno. I love blending emotional melodies with grooving rhythms, and I'm always looking for ways to push my sound forward. At the same time, I'm trying to develop a really strong, unmistakable style-something that people can immediately recognize as Siim Griffel the moment they hear it. I've been working on a lot of new music lately, including a few really exciting collaborations that are already signed and set to release at the beginning of next year. I can't wait for people to hear them. Beyond releases, my dream is to become a full-time touring artist, connecting with people through live shows and sharing my sound around the world. That's what I'm working toward every day.
