SIRØB and Ben Carter are two of the most exciting French DJs and producers on the electronic music scene. SIRØB, aka Boris Fort from Bordeaux, has been active since 2010 and gained recognition by winning official remix contests, including one by Spinnin’ Records for Jay Hardway. His original tracks and collaborations have amassed millions of streams and been released on labels such as Universal, Warner, Proximity, and Wagram. Paris-born Ben Carter has over 11 years of international experience, with more than 400 live performances and collaborations with artists like The Game, Tyga, G-Unit, and Mosimann. His style blends old and new school hip-hop with electronic sounds, earning millions of radio plays and a recent major label signing. Both artists stand out for their genre-blending creativity and commitment to pushing musical boundaries while staying true to their roots.
"Baile da Plataforma" blends European electronic influences with Brazilian vibes. How did the idea for this collaboration with Mc Menor Do Alvorada come about?
The collaboration actually happened by accident. We were listening to baile funk on Spotify—a style we really love for its energy and vibe. We stumbled upon the original "Baile da Plataforma", released a few years back. We decided to take the vocal and create a new version with latin and African sounds that are dear to us, while keeping the electronic elements that have become a big part of our identity.
You both have distinct yet complementary styles: SIRØB, with your fusion of classic and contemporary sounds, and Ben, with your urban and hip-hop flair. How did you find the perfect balance in the studio?
We’ve been working together since 2018. We have different but complementary ideas: Ben brings a strong sense of percussion, while SIRØB focuses more on melodies and arrangement.
We always manage to find common ground between our influences and tastes. For us, music is first and foremost about having fun—and we definitely have a lot of it in the studio. That’s what matters most.
What struck you artistically about each other that made you want to collaborate on this track?
As we mentioned earlier, we’ve been working together for several years, and we’re both really passionate about Brazilian music. We actually released a track last year called "Mestre Dos Magos" with DJ GRZS, MC Marofa, and MC Fazano.
You’ve both performed on international stages—has there been a city or audience that particularly inspired you along the way?
Ben has already played in Ibiza—of course, that island is magical and inspiring for any electronic music DJ. As for SIROB, it would be Paris. He has great memories from his gigs there, and the crowd’s energy has always been unforgettable.
What was the most surprising or unexpected moment during the creation of "Baile da Plataforma"?
The most surprising moment was when we created the drop—super simple, but incredibly catchy and effective. We didn’t expect it to work that well.
