On Saturday, July 19th, Amsterdam's Johan Cruijff ArenA became the epicenter of hard techno and visual spectacle. During the final event of Verknipt, the renowned party series set a new Guinness World Record for the largest laser show in history, featuring an astonishing 1,100 lasers.

In front of 40,000 attendees, just before midnight, the arena was engulfed in a breathtaking 10-minute light show. The specially choreographed display shattered the previous record of 824 lasers, set by the Dubai Racing Club in 2021.

"We didn’t just break a world record — we made history", said the Verknipt team. "The energy inside the ArenA was indescribable. It wasn’t just a show; it was a moment of connection and emotion we’ll carry with us forever".

The production also featured a 360-degree stage with a rotating DJ booth at its center, surrounded by a custom-designed laser setup that took months to build.

The lineup included some of the biggest names in the hard techno scene, such as Nico Moreno, DYEN B2B Fantasm, Cloudy B2B NOVAH, Basswell B2B Onlynumbers, and many more.

With this record-breaking night, Verknipt didn’t just close a chapter — it redefined what’s possible in live electronic music experiences, combining cutting-edge visuals with the raw power of techno in unforgettable fashion.
