Stefanie Michaela is a pop/R&B artist with a sound shaped by real life, emotion, and honest storytelling. After years devoted to raising her five children, including two sets of twins, she returns to music with a deeper voice and a clearer sense of who she is.

Her songs blend warm R&B influences, cinematic pop textures, and lyrics that speak to love, growth, and the courage to be seen. With her debut EP Turning Pages and latest single “Let Me See the Real You”, Stefanie creates music that feels personal, open, and quietly powerful.

"LET ME SEE THE REAL YOU” already feels like a request for honesty. What part of yourself were you trying to reveal through this track?

I think the biggest thing I was trying to reveal is vulnerability. So much of life teaches us to protect ourselves or present this polished version of who we are, but deep connection only happens when people feel safe enough to let those walls down. Through this song, I wanted to express the beauty in being imperfect, emotional, honest, and fully yourself. I think that message applies not only to relationships, but also to the relationship we have with ourselves.

If this song were a late-night conversation with someone, what would you want them to finally say out loud?

I would want them to say, “This is who I really am". No pretending, no hiding behind expectations, fear, or image. I think a lot of people spend their lives feeling like they have to fit into a certain role, and this song is really about giving yourself permission to be seen as you truly are. Sometimes honesty is the thing that brings healing, connection, and freedom.

You started singing almost before you could even fully speak. Is there still a piece of that little girl with the big voice inside this song?

Absolutely. I think that little girl is still in every song I write. Music has always been the place where I could express emotions I didn’t always know how to explain out loud. There’s still a sense of innocence and honesty in me when I create, and I never want to lose that. Even after life experiences, setbacks, and growing up, that same love for music and emotional connection is still at the center of everything I do.

Your story has had pauses, setbacks, and returns. How does "LET ME SEE THE REAL YOU" reflect the artist and woman you are today?

I think this song reflects a much more grounded and self-aware version of me. Life teaches you that perfection isn’t real, and sometimes the most beautiful parts of a person come through the struggles they’ve overcome. After experiencing different chapters in life, including stepping away and finding my way back to music, I’ve learned to embrace authenticity over trying to fit expectations. This song represents confidence in being honest, vulnerable, and comfortable in my own skin as both an artist and a woman.

Ascendant Vierge has such a strong and distinct sonic world. What drew you into this collaboration, and where did you feel your energies connecting?

I believe that question may have accidentally been intended for another artist, as I haven’t collaborated with Ascendant Vierge. However, I’m always drawn to artists and creators who lead with authenticity and emotion in their work, and I think meaningful collaborations happen when there’s a shared desire to create something that genuinely connects with people.
