Remus Rujinschi

A songwriter, producer and musician with deep electronic roots, he delivers a live performance grounded in melodic techno, defined by emotional tension, hypnotic progressions and a cinematic sense of movement. In scenes where it aligns culturally, he also brings piano house, adding an uplifting and rhythmic edge. With years of studio experience and contributions to hundreds of productions, he has developed a precise and versatile approach to sound.

His strong technical foundation and collaborative work have supported artists across a wide range of styles, shaping the discipline behind his evolving creative projects worldwide today with consis-tency, meaningful direction and steady artistic growth. Included on different compilations that reflect his evolving identity, his releases blend underground music with deeper electronic influences, refining a sound that stays authentic while progressing.

His early remixing introduced deeper electronic textures into well-known tracks, building credibility in the underground scene and leading to collaborations with artists and labels who valued his forward-thinking approach.

"Back To You" is your latest single: what inspired this track, and what do you hope listeners take away from it?

The track is engineered for the moment a set needs to break from heavy club tension into an expansive melodic peak. I wanted to capture a sense of "return"—using deep orchestral layers to hit an emotional high without losing the driving energy of the low-end. It’s about giving the floor a massive release that still feels physically powerful.

Your music is often described as "cinematic". Do you draw inspiration from films or visual imagery when composing?

The cinematic feel is a result of sound architecture. I utilize emotive strings and atmospheric pads to create a sense of scale, but the focus is on the narrative arc. Instead of a static loop, the track moves from dense, industrial weight to open, luminous spaces. Every shift in the frequency spectrum signals the next chapter of the story.

With a strong background in production and sound design, how do you craft a track that balances emotional tension with hypnotic energy?

It is a matter of technical juxtaposition. I anchor the track with a heavy, complex orchestral foundation for weight, but then I use a minimalist, slow-tempo vocal as a fragile counterpoint. That massive gap between the grand, multi-layered instrumental and the intimate human voice is where the tension lives. The industrial precision of the low-end keeps the floor hypnotic, while the melodic shifts provide the emotional resolution.

You’ve remixed and collaborated with many artists throughout your career. Which collaboration has had the most impact on your artistic growth?

My background is defined by the discipline of the "Invisible Architect" and a commitment to continuous technical evolution. I’ve worked with A-category artists where the objective was a transparent, high-level collaboration to support and execute their specific vision. By putting myself in their position and operating from the other side of the story I developed a service-first mindset that stripped away ego. Acting as a technical problem-solver in those high-stakes environments taught me how to deliver industrial-grade results under extreme pressure. That professional foundation is the core of my own brand today.

In your live sets, you blend melodic techno and piano house. How do you decide which genres and influences to include in each performance?

My preference is for Melodic Techno with a high-energy groove—it’s about maintaining a constant, physical momentum that avoids the static nature of the slower sub-genres. I am also professionally versatile; I integrate Piano House specifically for regional markets where that sound is the established preference. It is a matter of respecting the local territory while ensuring my core sets remain driving and high-energy.

The electronic music scene evolves rapidly. How do you stay innovative while preserving your musical identity?

Innovation is a technical adaptation. The professional benchmarks shift as the market's primary decision-makers and A&R collectives forecast the next genre movement. I stay relevant by deconstructing those shifting sonic signatures and implementing them via my workflow. Identity is the manual, repetitive process of executing a high-level plethora of technical from songwriting, production techniques, sound design, mixing; across a hybrid hardware and software environment.

You’ve been featured on numerous compilations that showcase your evolving sound. How would you define your musical identity today?

The sound is defined by high-fidelity orchestral architecture within a modern electronic framework. My position is based on meeting the highest technical benchmarks of the global circuit while maintaining a focused, taste-driven sound. Seeing "Back To You" validated on major platforms next to the industry’s current leaders confirms that this focus on precision and atmosphere is where the market is moving, but it retains an emotional, human pulse. It is a focus on quality over volume.

Which instruments or software tools are essential to your creative process, and why?

My "Sonic Core" is a high-bandwidth hybrid architecture managed across Ableton, Pro Tools, and Cubase, all synced to a Mutec MC3+ Smart Clock and RME Fireface UFX III for absolute jitter suppression and transient 1G-clock precision.

To achieve the 2026 Melodic Techno standard, I utilize a tiered synthesis and processing chain:

  • Physical Modeling & Modal Synthesis: Used to replicate acoustic resonance, achieving "Organic-Industrial" textures that feel alive yet clinical.

  • Wavetable 2.0 & Hyper-Modulation: Utilizing Serum 2 and Vital for complex spectral warping and "liquid" narrative leads.

  • Metallic FM & Percussive Timbres: The Elektron Digitone provides the high-definition FM "edge" that sits above the low-end.

  • Granular Resynthesis: I use Kontakt to deconstruct orchestral samples into microscopic grains, creating the "organic-digital blur" essential for cinematic techno.

  • Phase-Coherent Voltage (Moog Hardware): All digital complexity is anchored by a Moog hardware core to ensure sub-lows are pure analog voltage.

  • The Analog Glue (Gyraf Audio): Every layer is finalized through a boutique Gyraf Audio signal path. I rely on their Vari-Mu and passive tube circuits to provide the transformer-based saturation and harmonic density that digital oscillators cannot replicate.

While I maintain over 350 iLok-managed licenses (including FabFilter and Soundtoys), they are used strictly for surgical carving, while the Gyraf and Moog handle the physical weight and voltage.

Your music combines underground vibes with deeper electronic influences. How do you maintain the balance between experimentation and accessibility?

Experimentation stays in the layers, the shifting textures and atmospheric pads that give the track its cinematic depth. Accessibility is maintained through the soaring nature of the melodies and a focused selection of sounds. By keeping the melodic hook strong and emotionally resonant, I can push the experimental side of the production without losing the audience. It’s about creating a sophisticated journey that still feels familiar on the dancefloor.

Looking ahead, what new musical directions or projects are you excited to explore?

My focus is on absolute Sonic Refinement and expanding the reach of UFO Recordz. I am committed to pushing this cinematic electronic direction further by exploring even more emphatic, orchestral arrangements within a heavy club context. The goal is to produce tracks that are technically sophisticated enough to meet the most rigorous benchmarks of the global stage. I’m moving toward a sound that is grand and immersive, bridging the gap between a high-energy set and a true widescreen musical experience, ensuring that every release carries the weight and precision required for the industry's most elite platforms.
