Ubbah: "Music is a cycle that repeats itself over time"
Ubbah, born in June 1994, developed a passion for various musical styles from a young age, mastering the piano by the time he was ten. However, it wasn’t until 2008 that he discovered his true calling: electronic music. Deep, techno, dark, and hypnotic sounds left a lasting imprint on him, serving as the main inspiration for his own productions. His single "System Failure", released in 2022, brought him widespread recognition, earning the support of popular DJs around the globe.
Your musical journey started with classical music and the piano. How have you integrated these roots into your electronic music production style, and what elements of classical music do you find most influential in your work?
It helped a lot for creating melodies mostly, is something that is easy for me because of the music theory and playing piano over the years.
You have released music on prestigious labels like Afterlife and Diynamic. What kind of experience have you had working with these labels, and how have they influenced your artistic growth?
The good thing is that I've reached these labels without trying to get signed, both times they got interested in music that was done because I like it and not because I was doing something that I think they may like.
Your latest single "Nightmares" was released on Clone. Can you tell us about the creative process behind this track and what emotions or stories you wanted to convey through it?

You often perform at Afterlife events around the world. How would you describe the atmosphere of your live sets, and how do you interact with the audience during your performances?
Is cool that they keep trusting my music, the vibe is great because it is always the biggest stage experience I have. I try to interact as much as I can, but sometimes when is not a club is not that easy
Given your experience and passion for electronic music, what trends or changes have you noticed in the music scene over the past few years, and how do you think it will evolve in the future?
I'm not sure about the future, but If I have to bet, I’ll say that old school elements and genres will come back, reinvented in a fresh way. For me music industry is a cycle that repeats over the years, so that every genre has its own moment to shine.
