Twenty years after making Daresbury its permanent home, Creamfields returns with an edition that feels every bit as ambitious as the festival's defining moments. From 27–30 August, the Cheshire countryside will once again become the centre of the electronic music world, drawing tens of thousands of fans from across Europe, North America, Asia and beyond. While many festivals celebrate their milestones by looking back, Creamfields appears determined to keep its focus firmly on the future. Bigger productions, new stage concepts and an increasingly diverse programme demonstrate why it remains one of the most influential names on the global festival circuit.
The 2026 line-up reflects the festival's ability to balance worldwide superstars with artists shaping the next chapter of electronic music. Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Alesso and Armin van Buuren headline a programme packed with household names, while John Summit, Dom Dolla, FISHER, CamelPhat, Sonny Fodera, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, Disclosure, MK and Patrick Topping bring different shades of house and melodic dance music to the weekend. Rather than relying on one dominant sound, Creamfields continues to embrace the full spectrum of electronic music, giving every audience the opportunity to discover something new alongside the biggest headline performances.
Techno once again occupies a central role throughout the festival. Carl Cox returns as one of electronic music's most enduring icons, while Amelie Lens is set to deliver her acclaimed AURA audiovisual show, combining powerful visuals with the relentless energy that has made her one of the genre's leading figures. Alongside them, Joseph Capriati, Eli Brown, Lilly Palmer, Space 92, VTSS and I Hate Models represent different generations and styles, from peak-time driving techno to darker, industrial-inspired sounds. The result is a programme that reflects just how broad and creative the contemporary techno scene has become.
Trance continues to hold a special place within the Creamfields identity, something increasingly rare among major international festivals. Armin van Buuren leads a line-up that also features Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, Bryan Kearney, Billy Gillies, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Paul Oakenfold and Mauro Picotto. Together they represent decades of musical history while continuing to push the genre forward through new productions and live performances. For longtime followers of trance, Creamfields remains one of the few places where the genre is celebrated on the scale it deserves.
Bass music is equally well represented, reflecting its growing popularity across the UK festival scene. Drum & bass fans can expect high-energy performances from Andy C, Hedex, Hybrid Minds, Sigma, Culture Shock, Kanine, Koven and Shy FX, each bringing a distinct approach to one of electronic music's fastest-evolving genres. Meanwhile, the harder side of dance music arrives through artists including Angerfist, Warface, Coone, Ben Nicky and Maddix, ensuring that those looking for faster tempos and heavier sounds will have no shortage of options throughout the weekend.
Production values have long been one of Creamfields' defining strengths, and the twentieth anniversary edition looks set to raise expectations once again. The festival's signature stages—including HALO, Steel Yard, Arc and Apex—combine massive LED structures, immersive lighting design, cutting-edge sound systems and large-scale visual production to create an experience that extends well beyond the music itself. Every headline performance becomes a carefully choreographed show where technology and creativity work together, turning each set into a fully immersive experience rather than simply another festival appearance.

Away from the music, Creamfields has evolved into a temporary city built around its international audience. Modern camping facilities, a wide selection of food vendors, art installations, wellness areas and interactive experiences ensure that the festival offers much more than a succession of performances. Visitors arrive from dozens of countries, creating an atmosphere where different cultures, languages and musical tastes come together naturally. That sense of community remains one of the festival's greatest strengths, giving first-time visitors and returning fans alike a reason to come back year after year.
Two decades after establishing itself as one of Europe's premier electronic music festivals, Creamfields continues to define what a large-scale dance event can be. It combines world-class production with one of the strongest line-ups on the calendar while maintaining a clear musical identity that has evolved without losing sight of its roots. In an increasingly competitive festival landscape, Creamfields still feels like an event that sets trends rather than follows them. As it celebrates its twentieth anniversary, it remains a destination where electronic music, innovation and shared experiences come together on a scale that few festivals anywhere in the world can match.
