Sound Waves Festival announces the first artists for its 20th anniversary edition
The Sound Waves Festival is preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary on July 5, 2025, with a special edition that promises to be unforgettable.
This festival, one of the largest techno and hard techno events in Europe, will take place in Esmoriz, Portugal, offering attendees an experience of over 20 hours of non-stop music. The event will start on Saturday, July 5th at 5:00 PM and end on Sunday, July 6th at 2:00 PM.
For its 20th anniversary, Sound Waves has announced the first artists that will be part of the 2025 lineup. The confirmed names include OGUZ (Netherlands), known for his high-energy sets and innovative hard techno sound, BLK. (Ireland), who is redefining the underground electronic scene with his hypnotic sounds, SNTS (Germany), returning to Esmoriz with his signature dark industrial techno sound, JAZZY (France), a force of nature in the techno scene with her furious energy and aggressive style, and ONLYNUMBERS (France), an emerging name in the global techno scene, bringing the perfect mix of euphoria, percussion, and hard techno.
In addition to the summer edition, Sound Waves kicks off 2025 with the Winter Edition on February 8th in Lisbon, featuring artists like 999999999, Bad Boombox, Fantasm, Hades, Lee Ann Roberts, and Ornella, and another event in Porto on March 8th with Sound Waves Invites at Hard Club, featuring Winson, Fernanda Martins, Tanja Miju, Negitiv, Ornella, and Pestdokter.
On July 5, 2025, Esmoriz will once again host the global rave community to celebrate the festival's history and the future of techno music.
