A passionate call for clubs to be recognized and protected as essential spaces for music, culture, and community.

Stella Bossi

Berlin-based Italo-German techno DJ Stella Bossi speaks frankly about the future of club culture. In an interview with FACES, she demands urgent political recognition for clubs, emphasizing that they are an important cultural export—not just a "hobby". Bossi highlights how rising rents and lack of legal protections are putting many venues at risk, despite clubs being vital, protected spaces for the underground music scene.

She also calls on the public to rediscover their passion for nightlife, which is increasingly threatened by economic pressures. On a personal level, Stella acknowledges the key role social media has played in her career but admits to the mental strain it brings. For this reason, she consciously limits her social media use, saying, "If I don’t use social media for 48 hours, my inner peace definitely improves".

Today, Stella Bossi is one of the most influential figures in the international techno scene, successfully balancing visibility, creativity, and personal well-being. Her message is clear: clubs are cultural pillars that need concrete protection, involving institutions, artists, and audiences to ensure the survival and growth of nightlife culture.
