Your new album "I Dream a Dream" feels like a deeply emotional journey. What was the concept behind this project, and what do you hope listeners take away from it?
It was a rather intense project, the concept behind it is to show people what my creative world is like. As someone who's always struggled with expressing myself through words, music became my way of communicating what I think, feel and aspire. The title reflects a moment in my career in which I wasn't finding myself in my own sound, so I stopped, researched and explored multiple genres until I managed to incorporate them into my own identity, something that truly sounds like myself. I hope that the listener will get to know me a bit better and surely the music will resonate with their soul as well.
You recently collaborated with Zanna on "Memory or Dream" and with Elisa Audi on "Emerald City". How do these collaborations influence your creative process, and what stood out to you working with them?
I love to collaborate with musicians with different backgrounds as I believe it enriches the process. Having someone who disagrees with you in the studio can change the direction and outcome of the music creating something unique and powerful. Zanna is an amazing vocalist who comes from a theater and contemporary music background . Elisa Audi on the other hand is an outstanding producer who comes from a more classic background. The result of these collaborations culminate into three unique tracks that reflect on these repertoires.
Your music is described as a journey of self-discovery through Melodic Techno. How do you manage to convey such deep emotions within a genre that’s often very technical and rhythmic?
Melodic Techno was the genre in which I discovered myself as an artist. However, with time I began feeling like it was suffocating me, and these stylistic demands started to restrain my creativity. For that reason I stopped and spent almost a full year studying and producing other genres such as Orchestral Music, Indie, Hip/Hop and others. When I came back to electronic music to work on the album, my journey through Melodic Techno continued to influence me, of course, but now I carry a more extensive and rich baggage.

Coming from a diverse musical background, you enjoy pushing sonic boundaries. What have been your main musical influences, and how have you incorporated them into your unique sound?
It's hard to answer that because my influences change from time to time. But some of them are: Daft Punk, Jean-Michel Jarre, M83, Röyksopp, Underworld, Kraftwerk and others. Incorporating them became a natural process, I don't really think about how to do it, they simply stay in the back of my head, resonating in my music.
Looking ahead, what new horizons or musical experiments would you like to explore with the Vicius project? Are there any new collaborations or genres that particularly excite you?
The future is a white canvas, I've been working with club music, some things in the intersection of House, Techno & Trance. But I loved working with Electronica, Ambient and other genres more suitable for streaming, those really excite me as well and I intend to keep working on more music in that area. I aim to find the perfect balance between club and non-club music.
